Christmas through the Heart of Mary
December 24, 2007
During this time of year, we often hear Christmas through the eyes of the shepherds, the wise men, even the "little drummer boy." But what was Mary, the mother of Jesus, feeling during this time?
Last year, Nazareth Village, an authentic re-creation of the first century village Jesus grew up in, provided the backdrop for a unique re-enactment.
Claire Pfann from the University of the Holy Land here in Jerusalem portrayed Mary years after that first Christmas. She reflected on that "holy night" and what it was like to be the mother of the Savior of the world.
I think you'll like this story at this time of year. It reminds us about "the reason for the season."
