Members of Indonesian Islamic Sect March for Rights

JAKARTA, Indonesia - Three hundred members of a Muslim sect the Indonesian government is considering banning have marched through Jakarta to demand the right to practice their religion.
Protesters marched to the United Nations' human rights representative Tuesday to submit a list of alleged abuses suffered by the Ahmadiyah sect, which claims 500,000 members in Indonesia.
Some Muslims view Ahmadiyah as heretical because it does not consider Muhammad the final prophet.
Ahmadiyah Muslims have become the target of violence and intimidation since the government said last month it was considering banning the group. An Ahmadiyah mosque in West Java province was burned to the ground days later by perpetrators yelling "Kill, Kill!"
