Breakaway Anglican Churches May Appeal Order to Share with Diocese

TORONTO - As three breakaway Anglican parishes decide whether to appeal a Canadian court ruling that requires they share their churches with the diocese, efforts are underway to figure out what to do about this Sunday's services.
Monday's decision was in stark contrast to an earlier ruling that gave exclusive use of the churches to the breakaway parishes while both sides prepared their arguments.
This week's ruling is expected to remain in effect until the issue of who owns the church properties is resolved -- a process that could take years.
The breakaway Anglican Network in Canada has seven days to decide whether to appeal.
