LYNCHBURG, Va. - On the first anniversary of the Reverend Jerry Falwell's death, his widow has released a memoir of their life together.
"Jerry Falwell: His Life and Legacy" was written by Macel Falwell and Sean Hannity.
On the night before her husband died, Macel Falwell says they went out to dinner, but he just looked at her and didn't eat or say anything. When she asked why, he insisted nothing was wrong.
The next morning, she sensed something was amiss and called his office. When Falwell's secretary said she hadn't seen him although his car was there, Macel Falwell says she knew he must be dead.
Falwell was found in his office, and efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Macel Falwell says she misses him terribly, and is still trying to cope with being a widow.
