Olmert to be Questioned again Friday

CBNNews.com - JERUSALEM, Israel - Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will be interrogated for a sixth time Friday concerning suspicions of bribery and illegal travel billing.

As in previous sessions, Israel Police National Fraud Unit detectives plan to arrive at the prime minister's Jerusalem residence at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning to question Olmert for approximately two-and-a-half hours.

In at least two of the investigations -- one involving tens of thousands of dollars from American businessman Morris Talansky transferred to Olmert in cash-stuffed envelopes and the second case presenting evidence of multiple billing of public institutions for Olmert's trips abroad, with the excess money pocketed for his family's use.

Police continue their work in a number of cases opened against Olmert, the Talansky and the multiple-billing cases could produce indictments within weeks.

Olmert told the public he will resign if indicted.
