CBNNews.com - ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - A Pakistani official says security forces killed eight terrorists in a restive region near the Afghan border.
Fazl Rabi commands the tribal police force in Bajur, where troops are engaged in an offensive against Islamic terrorists.
Rabi said security forces fired on gunmen riding vehicles in the Salarzai and Nawagai areas Wednesday morning, killing eight and wounding 10 others.
Hundreds of people have reportedly died since the army launched an offensive against terrorists in Bajur several weeks ago.
An estimated 200,000 people have fled the region.
