CBN.com – Ashok lives in a little village in India called Dorja. Everyone there will tell you he's a hard worker. He doesn't have running water in his home. So, Ashok has to walk hours each day to bring water to his family.
Fetching Water
"I used to spend more than five hours in fetching water every day," said Ashok. "I used to get tired and it was bearing on me."
….And on his grades in school.
Ashok has hopes of becoming a lawyer for his village. He knows that without a proper education he could end up working for pennies a day. So what does this have to do with water!! ?
Well -- a lot. The time that Ashok needs to study goes toward getting water for the family's daily needs.
No Time to Study
"I had no time to do my studies. My studies were badly affected," said Ashok.
But that has all changed! CBN dug a deep water well for Ashok's village. Dorja was just one of many villages in India that received wells. And now many lives are being changed by the love of Jesus Christ!
"I can fill all five pots in one hour because the bore well is now close by," said Ashok, "which means I can now spend at least three to four hours on my studies. I can achieve my ambition of becoming a lawyer!"
Dare to Dream
