Medical Services

The Need for Health Care

Simple illnesses left untreated can turn deadly. People all over the world endure preventable or treatable health problems because medical services and supplies are not available to them. These same people have little hope of having their major concerns treated—ones that can be cured with proper medical care. Insect bites, injuries, and stomach flu shouldn’t result in death. Cataracts, hernias, and an abscessed tooth should not incapitate life. The sad reality is far too often they do.

Problems are exacerbated in the remote villages of many countries where people have little access to roads or transportation. A sick person often turns to the only help available, even if it is a witch doctor. Without proper consultation from professional medical personnel, health conditions often worsen and in some case result in death. Epidemics such as AIDS, jaundice, and typhoid can spread quickly because of ignorance.

Through CBN’S support of Operation Blessing’s medical services program, we continue to effectively respond to the desperation felt by both hurting people and caring medical professionals worldwide. Every country’s needs are different, that’s why personalized care and attention is given to every situation.

What We Do

The strategic locations of our WorldReach regional centers mean that local Operation Blessing staff—who know best their country, their needs, and available resources—are able to coordinate effective medical camps and clinics to provide free medical, dental, optical, and surgical services for their poor and needy.

Providing access to basic medicines, medical supplies and training in health issues has a tremendous impact on those living in poor and rural communities. These services reduce the infant mortality rate, prevent debilitation from minor ailments or wounds, and improve the community's overall health and well-being.

Operation Blessing has medical mission programs actively treating the poorest of the poor in Guatemala, Philippines, China, Indonesia, Nigeria, India, and Thailand. Operation Blessing helps equip these teams with medicines, mobile lab equipment, and supplies to ensure quality care. Our international network of medical teams holds clinics somewhere in the world every week of the year.
